God mode makes your character completely invincible. While it is active you cannot lose health, your magicka and stamina never run out, and your carry weight is effectively unlimited — so you can fight, cast, sprint and loot without any limits.
How to enable god mode
- Open the console with the tilde key (
~) — see the open the console guide if you need it. - Type
tgmand pressEnter. The console confirms god mode is on. - Close the console. You are now invulnerable.
- To turn it off, open the console again and type
tgma second time.

Frequently asked questions
What is the god mode command in Skyrim?
The command is tgm (Toggle God Mode). Type tgm in the console and press Enter to gain unlimited health, magicka, stamina and carry weight. Type tgm again to turn it off.
What is the difference between tgm and tim?
tgm (god mode) makes you completely invincible and gives infinite resources. tim (Toggle Immortal Mode) lets you take damage and drop to very low health but never actually die, so combat still feels real while keeping you alive.
Does god mode give unlimited arrows and spells?
Yes. With tgm active your magicka and stamina never drain, so you can cast and sprint freely. Arrows and other ammunition are also not consumed while god mode is on.
Does tgm disable achievements?
Using any console command, including tgm, disables Steam and Xbox achievements for that session. Load a save without using the console to re-enable them.
