Privacy Policy
Last updated October 4, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Skyrim Codex (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit skyrimcodex.com (the “Website”) and how it is used. By using the Website you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We do not require an account and we do not ask you for personal information. We collect aggregate, non-identifying usage data through analytics in order to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site:
- Fathom Analytics records aggregate page views and on-site actions such as searches, copies, and filter use. It does not use cookies. It does not identify individual visitors.
- Google Analytics is a backup of the same usage data. It also collects approximate location, device type, and browser type. It may set cookies. Google processes this data.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them only for analytics as described above and to remember preferences such as your light/dark theme choice. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Website will still work.
Advertising
We display ads through Mediavine and its advertising partners. These partners may set cookies and similar identifiers and may collect data such as your device and browser type, approximate location, and browsing activity to measure and personalize the ads you see. Each partner processes this data under its own privacy policy.
If you are in a region covered by the GDPR, Mediavine asks for consent before non-essential advertising cookies are set. Mediavine shows its own privacy controls on the site. Use those controls to review or change your choices.
Your California privacy rights
Sharing data with advertising partners to personalize ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). California residents can opt out with the privacy controls Mediavine shows on the site. Aside from the ad personalization described above, we do not sell your personal information.
Other third parties
Analytics and content-delivery providers process data under their own privacy policies, as described above.
Children
The Website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
